The story

Builtby hand.

Thrown a wide, flat base — a plate, a shallow bowl, a planter — and dreaded the wire-off? One wrong pull and you've got a warped foot. We think Tyvek might be the fix.

These are Tyvek sheets cut to sit snug on a standard wheel head. Tyvek doesn't soak up water like paper — it holds a thin film on the surface that grips the sheet down while you throw, then lets you lift a wide base clean off without wiring at all.

We're still dialing it in, and that's where you come in. We've sourced four types, color-coded, and they each behave a little differently:

  • Green — lightest and most flexible; hugs the wheel head.
  • Blue — mid-weight with a bit more backbone.
  • Orange — thickest and heaviest; the most substantial feel.
  • Black — the most paper like. Great support for a flat base.

Not sure where to start? Grab the Sample Pack and test all four side by side.
